Today’s guest Frank de Jong shares his perspectives on why using economic rent capture can be a valuable tool in developing a more just system for people and the environment. Frank is a Canadian politician, environmentalist, and elementary school teacher. He developed an interest in environmental concerns during the mid-1980s when he became involved in the campaigns to save Ontario’s old-growth forests. He was also involved in the anti-nuclear, renewable energy, and pro-choice movements. From 1993 to 2009, he was the leader of the Green Party of Ontario, and from 2017 to 2019, he was the leader of the Yukon Green Party.
